You can be disciplined by CU if you are found to have violated the Student Code of Conduct, a Residence Life policy or an Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance (OIEC) policy. While it can happen in other ways, students are most often investigated for a violation after being accused of committing a crime or not following dorm rules. If you are contacted by the Office of Student Conduct, your Hall Director or OIEC, give us a call. In most situations, Student Legal Services can review the hearing process with you and prepare you for it. Often, you can even hire us to go with you to the hearing. We can also likely assist you with an appeal of the decision if your case qualifies for appeal. Please do note that we cannot sue the University on your behalf.
